1. Failed or duplicate payments
A failed payment does not activate membership. If an amount is debited but SCI does not receive successful confirmation, the payment provider or issuing bank normally reverses it automatically. Verified duplicate captures will be refunded to the original payment method.
2. Membership cancellation
A member may request cancellation through the support enquiry form. Because membership provides immediate access to community services and limited-capacity opportunities, fees are generally non-refundable after activation except where required by law or where SCI cannot provide the purchased membership.
3. Pre-activation requests
If SCI declines an application after payment, or receives a cancellation request before activation and before benefits are used, the verified amount will be refunded after deducting only any non-recoverable provider charge where legally permitted and disclosed.
4. Events
Event-specific cancellation terms shown during registration prevail. If SCI cancels a paid event, registrants may receive a refund or transfer option. Rescheduling alone may not create an automatic refund when a reasonable alternative is offered.
5. Promo codes
Refunds never exceed the amount actually paid. Promo-code value is not paid out in cash and may not be restored after expiry or redemption-limit exhaustion.
6. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Processing time depends on Cashfree or Razorpay and the issuing bank; SCI will provide a traceable reference when available.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact SCI before starting a chargeback so the team can investigate. Fraudulent disputes, false evidence or repeated payment abuse may result in account restriction.
8. Request information
Include the order reference, payer email, amount, date and reason. Never send a card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password.
